I recently found this interesting project “Are You Serious?” – an organization that aims to develop projects to raise awareness and communicate messages about subjects that are important today, through traveling.

The founders (a bunch of 20 somethings from around the world)  have some concrete projects (Arttrack, Ecotrack, LifeTrack) they are going to carry out in 2011 – with the mission of “turning travelling into a means for social and responsible change.”

The  “track” projects still sound a bit abstract to me, but it does look promising! The first project will involve two young guys, going to 11 countries, 140 days, art, ecology and culture from all over the world.

Good to see they’re actually going on the road to change something, and get involved in the local culture! It’s what we hope our Spotted by Locals visitors do as well, after reading about our local tips
